Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 4 March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using OpenCycling ("the App"), the user agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If the user does not agree to these terms, they must not use the App.
2. Description of the App
OpenCycling is a free indoor cycling application that provides structured workouts, smart trainer control via Bluetooth, and real-time performance metrics. The App operates entirely on the user's device and does not require an account or internet connection.
3. Free to Use
OpenCycling is provided free of charge. There are no subscription fees, in-app purchases, or hidden costs. OpenCycling reserves the right to introduce optional paid features in the future. Any such change would be communicated in advance and would not affect existing free functionality.
4. User Responsibilities
The user is solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the App is appropriate for their physical condition. Indoor cycling involves physical exertion and carries inherent risk of injury. Users with pre-existing medical conditions should consult a medical professional before use.
5. Third-Party Services
The App supports optional integration with third-party platforms including Strava, Apple Health, and Google Health Connect. Use of these integrations is subject to the respective terms and conditions of those platforms. OpenCycling is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. OpenCycling does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OpenCycling shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including but not limited to personal injury, loss of data, or device malfunction.
7. Modifications to the App and Terms
OpenCycling reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. These Terms may also be updated periodically. Continued use of the App following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which OpenCycling is established. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
